It was an early start Sunday 2nd May 2021. The sun was shining bright as the Age Right team gathered with their families at the Alexandra Gardens in Melbourne to walk, run and jog to support Dementia Australia.
We entered the 6.5km walk and the 2.5km. In just over an hour we had all completed our walk and felt invigorated as well as proud knowing that we had walked for our family members, friends and patients who have been diagnosed with dementia. The time given by us and money raised by our team will assist with running programs to support Dementia patients, their carers and families and for further research into Dementia.
This was our second year registering for the Dementia Memory Walk and Jog fundraiser. With the team at Age Right growing it meant we had more staff attending and thanks to the support of our families and friends we were able to raise $1179.65. A fantastic effort by all.
We will continue to support Dementia Australia and thank them for their contribution to the Dementia community.
Looking forward to building our team for next year with not only our families and friends of the Age Right staff but the families and friends of our patients at Age Right because you too can make a difference by joining us in the fight against Dementia.
